On our annual visit to ‘Umang’ at Karjat on 27th July 2012, a few spirited Commtelians made the most of this opportunity to care and share. Foot-wares were distributed among all the children at Umang. We also celebrated birthday of three special children and handed over items like books, clothes and toys collected from Commtelians over a period of one month. Contribution towards medical treatment of a teenage girl was done helping her in a major operation of her spinal cord, which was executed successfully. Under the aegis of Commtel Foundation, a 3 year old child diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Lukemia and undergoing chemotherapy at Tata Memorial Hospital, received timely help in her treatment. Among other such voluntary acts medical bills were also paid for a 4 year old child, suffering from Pneumonia. As per our steady commitment, monthly provisions were provided for children of Bal Anand and for elderly people at Mercy John Memorial Trust.
Through all the actions undertaken above, which also saw active involvement from Commtelians at various stages, we have only tried to be true to the core belief and philosophy of Commtel Foundation- ‘Supporting Life’. With the help and encouragement of our fellow Commtelians we have been able to make such efforts, meaningful and fulfilling. We will continue doing so and make these eventful, favorable changes, a constant.
