Oil and GasCommtel secures design engineering, implementation and supply of Nokia equipment contract of telecommunication system for Mumbai-Manglya-Bijwasan Pipeline Project
of BCPL from WRI, China

Wuhan Research Institute Of Posts and Telecommunications, China (WRI) has won the
turnkey telecommunication system implementation contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for their Mumbai-Manglya-Bijwasan Pipeline Project. Engineers India Limited (EIL) are consultant to BPCL on the project. WRI has awarded the system design engineering and implementation works to Commtel for this project, including supply of Nokia Primary Drop/Insert Multiplex equipment along with voice and data channel units. The project was awarded to WRI in October, 2005 with 9 month completion schedule.

Successful completion of Factory Acceptance Testing of transmission system for IOCL’s 385 Kms long Koyali-Ratlam-Dahej Pipeline Project
The factory acceptance testing of transmission system for IOCL’s pipeline was successfully completed at Commtel’s test facilities in Navi Mumbai. The system comprised of a SDH STM-1 system including Tejas STM-1 SDH Equipment, Nokia Primary Mux Equipment, EPABX System, IP Based CCTV System. The system has been cleared for despatch by IOCL.

OPTO-LEAPMore customers have shown interest in Commtel developed OPTO-LEAP and are utilising this product in their network
Commtel is pleased with the positive response, which we are getting from our prospective customers on the OPTO-LEAP capability and its utility in their networks. We have about 4 Units of OPTO-LEAP on trial in the customer networks and hope to secure these orders in the coming months. More importantly, OPTO-LEAP which was primarily developed for application in the linear networks for utilities market is now being trialed by telecom service providers for their backbone and access network requirements. This is an encouraging indication for us. These customers have noted the primary advantage by having their network operational on end to end basis in case of power failures at a particular location which is the USP of OPTO-LEAP. We are further investing time, effort and money in developing this product and adding new features.

24x7 Customer Support

is now fully operational

In our quest to achieve high standards of service offering to our customers, we have always been striving to innovate process, which will enhance the way we support our customers. At Commtel we understand and acknowledge the fact that post-sales support is paramount, which means that we should be available for our customer when in need on 24x7 basis.

In line with the above, we have put in place a comprehensive 24 x 7 support service process that is drawn to provide you with high-level support availability through our Technical Assistance Centre (TAC).

The primary advantage of this process is centralised logging of faults and follow-up from our TAC until the resolution of fault.

Commtel’s 24x7 TAC with voice support is now fully operational and we have commenced providing services to our customers through this centre from 1st January, 2006 onwards. Our customers whose systems are under warranty and those who have a signed support/maintenance agreement with Commtel are now being serviced through our TAC process.
